Please consider joining the German-American Club of Albany. Especially if you enjoy German food such as Sauerbraten, Bratwurst, and Knockwurst, Ompah-Pah music, Lederhosen, Dirndls, and of course German Bier.
We are actively seeking new members who enjoy the Germanic ideal of Gemuetlichkeit or good fellowship and good times. We are a fun group of people dedicated to promoting and keeping German culture and tradition alive in the Albany area. We would like a chance to meet you and show you our club. With this in mind, you are cordially invited to our clubhouse on Wednesday evenings and also to any of our monthly events. Please see our calendar of events.
Prospective members both male and female need to be over the age of 18 years of age, regardless of race, creed, color, or citizenship are elige to become members of this organization.
Prospective members need to be proposed by a member in good standing and be of a sociable and benevolent character and pledge themselves to good fellowship, citizenship, and the furtherance of German tradition.
Annual dues for membership is $45.00 per year per person or $80.00 per couple. There is a one-time initation fee of $10.00. Memberships are pro-rated if someone joins mid-year.
For individuals and families, joining the German-American Club of Albany is an opportunity to belong to the type of traditional German-American social and cultural organization that was common in days past; but rare today. At our monthly events you and your family will remember the old-fashion spirit of Gemütlichkeit and the friends you meet at the German-American Club of Albany will be true friends indeed.
